RISE's doctoral environment day is an event organised by doctoral students. They decided tofocus on theinfluence of polluting companies, particularly the fossil fuel industry, on teaching and research.

  • What role do fossil fuel companies, the banks that finance them and the promoters of polluting modes of transport play in academic research?
  • How can we respond to current societal challenges, one of the most worrying of which is climate change under the influence of the oil industries?

Through this event, we want to represent young people who are concerned about their future and that of future generations. Young people who question the possibility of being free, objective and ethical under the influence of climate change companies. The science is clear: we need to take strong measures to slow climate change. We must all take action, personally, professionally and collectively.

*TheCommittee: Constance LUCET-BERILLE, Felix KÖGLER (ITES), Oscar LE NOAN, Léa MOYON , Adrien SAPHY (ITES) and Maxime PRÉCHEUR.

The day will consist of presentations debates, discussions, posters, association stands and other activities, all with the aim of raising awareness and making people aware of the influence of polluting companies in research and education, which is hampering the necessary ecological transition.
